Officers from the 12th District responded to a report of a person with a gun on the 5600 block of Ridgewood Street at about 3:18 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, police said. Medics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene at 3:33 a.m., authorities said.
