Police Search for Two Men After Attempted Luring in South Philadelphia

Philadelphia police are continuing to look for two men believed to be involved in an attempted luring incident reported last week in South Philadelphia. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon near a playground located on the 2300 block of Wharton Street.

According to police, two teenage girls were in the area around 4:30 p.m. when they were approached by two men wearing ski masks. Investigators said the men attempted to direct the girls toward a van. The girls ran from the scene, and authorities later said there is concern the vehicle may have followed them as they fled.

The Philadelphia Police Department said a white work van is believed to be connected to the case. Sgt. Eric Gripp said the vehicle is described as a panel-style van with tinted front windows and no rear windows. Witnesses also reported that the van appeared to have no license plates and visible rust on the rear bumper. Police are using those details as part of their efforts to locate the vehicle…
