PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – A New Jersey teenager wanted for attempted murder was arrested in South Philadelphia this week after a coordinated operation by the U.S. Marshals Service, officials announced.
Deputy marshals captured 18-year-old Kingkamau Nantambu, known by the alias “King,” in the 1500 block of South 30th Street. Authorities say Nantambu, a resident of Pleasantville, New Jersey, was wanted by the Pleasantville Police Department in connection with a July 21 shooting that left one victim critically injured.
Investigators allege Nantambu is affiliated with the “6Way” street gang, a criminal group based in southern New Jersey. Officials said the arrest followed weeks of intelligence gathering and surveillance in both states after tips placed the suspect in the Philadelphia area.
