N.J. hospital patient on oxygen causes fire after lighting cigarette

A patient at Cooper University Hospital caused a fire on Saturday when they lit a cigarette while on oxygen, according to hospital officials.

In a statement, the hospital’s owner Cooper University Health Care said Tuesday that “team members acted quickly to save the patient and extinguish the fire.”
