Matthew Kaplan, the owner of the furniture store M. Kaplan Interiors in Malvern, was sentenced to 6 to 23 months in prison after pleading guilty to deceptive business practices and related charges.
Kaplan, 37, of Rydal, Pa., owned a furniture store and defrauded dozens of victims who ordered and paid for furniture that they never received. As a part of his sentence, Kaplan is required to pay back $530,203.92 of restitution to all the victims.
