Contractor charged after $24,500 construction job never started

Berwick, Pa. — A contractor failed to do more than $24,000 of construction work for a Berwick man, police say.

Scott David Miller, 34, of Philadelphia is now facing felony charges for allegedly taking the money for the project in Virginia, but not doing any of the work.

Police got a call on Nov. 18 from a Briar Creek Township resident who alleged he had paid Miller for concrete and construction work at a property the man owned in Onancock, Va. that was never completed…
