Live updates: Up to a foot of snow to hit Philly, blizzard to hit Jersey Shore

  • A FIRST ALERT is in effect for our area Sunday night through Monday morning as a nor’easter is expected to bring up to a foot of snow to the Philadelphia region and up to 20 inches of snow in parts of the Jersey Shore.
  • A Blizzard Warning is in effect from 10 a.m. Sunday through 6 p.m. Monday for parts of the Jersey Shore as well as 1 p.m. Sunday though 6 p.m. Monday for parts of coastal Delaware, according to the National Weather Service.
  • Scattered rain and snow showers will begin Sunday morning around 5 a.m. though most of that snow will melt. All of the precipitation will transition over to snow by 2 p.m. on Sunday and will begin to stick by that point.
