Two men have been arrested, officials said, after they, allegedly, told three people they were police officers during a robbery attempt that happened in the Elmwood Park section of Southwest Philly early Tuesday.
According to officials, the incident happened when two men — aged 62 and 57 — were stopped by police as they left a property along the 6300 block of Theodore Street in Southwest Philadelphia at about 3:09 a.m. on Tuesday.
Officials said that, prior to the officers’ arrival, the men — who officials did not immediately provide further identifying information on — allegedly, forced their way into a building on that block, through the front door, and announced their presence by shouting “police” several times as they entered the property…
