Hit-and-run driver sentenced in case of Chester youth

Philadelphia resident Caleb Campbell, 22, was sentenced last week to 4½ to nine years in prison for the 2025 hit-and-run incident that left eight-year-old Chester resident Ny’leek Ellison paralyzed and on a ventilator.

In December, Campbell pleaded no contest to charges of aggravated assault by vehicle and accidents involving death or injury while not licensed stemming from the incident. Charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, failing to stop and render aid, and failing to report an accident were dismissed.
