Former Gladwyne man sentenced to over 9 years in prison for bilking investors out of millions of dollars

PHILADELPHIA—A former Gladwyne man has been sentenced to 111 months, or over 9 years, in federal prison after pleading guilty to three counts of securities fraud, nine counts of wire fraud, and one count of aggravated identity theft.

Josh S. Verne, 48, formerly of Gladwyne and currently a resident of Florida, pleaded guilty in March 2025.

Along with the 111 months in prison, United States District Judge John F. Murphy also sentenced him to 3 years of supervised release, a $1,300 special assessment, and the forfeiture of $12,173,759…
