The fatal crash happened on Arch Street at Independence Mall at 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, according to Philadelphia police.
An adult male pedestrian was hit by the bus and pronounced dead at the scene by Philadelphia Fire Department medics at 5:55 p.m., authorities said.
