PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An off-duty police officer who was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle in Northeast Philadelphia has died from his injuries, officials said Monday night.
Police said 26-year-old Nicolas Verrecchio was riding his Harley-Davidson southbound on Verree Road, near Susquehanna Road, in Fox Chase around 5 p.m. Sunday.
A 2013 Acura MDX was also traveling southbound on Verree Road, and the driver tried to make a U-turn to go northbound. Police said during that turn, the Acura and the motorcycle collided…
