Beloved Philadelphia restaurant to close after nearly 70 years

Kelly’s Seafood, a family-owned Northeast Philadelphia restaurant that has served customers since 1958, will close its doors as the owners prepare for retirement and list the building at 9362 Old Bustleton Avenue for sale, the restaurant announced on social media.

The restaurant, known for its nautical interior design, dense menu and early-bird specials, will remain open until a deal is finalized. Gift certificates will be honored until the location closes. After that, the owners will reimburse any purchased within the past year, according to the post on social media.
