Philly man drives himself to hospital after getting shot six times, police say

A man is lucky to be alive after someone with a semi-automatic rifle opened fire on his car in North Philadelphia on Tuesday evening, Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

According to Small, 27 spent shell casings were found at the crime scene at the intersection of Mutter Street and West Cambria Street. Twenty-six of the shell casing belonged to a semi-automatic rifle, and the other a handgun.
