The Philadelphia Inquirer reported on April 6th that Federal Donuts & Chicken has closed a few locations that had been operated by its largest franchisee, an entity owned by Mike Sloane and attorney Michael Heller. Sloane is a well-known restauranteur who owns Jasper’s Backyard in Conshohocken, The Fort in Fort Washington, Dettera in Ambler, and is in the process of opening Academy in Fort Washington.
When Sloane and Heller became the franchisee, they launched with four legacy locations and added new locations in Radnor, Willow Grove, and Conshohocken (at the Plymouth Square Shopping Center). Radnor, Willow Grove and three legacy locations have been closed. Conshohocken is among the locations that remains open. Note that there are other locations operated by other franchisees that aren’t impacted by Sloane and Heller’s move
