The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that the ramp from Front Street to northbound I-95 and the ramp from southbound I-95 to Front Street in South Philadelphia will reopen to traffic from Friday afternoon, May 8, to Monday morning, May 11. The ramps have been closed for several weeks while crews perform roadway widening and other improvements under a $56.1 million project to repair interstate bridges and ramps across the region.
Motorists are advised that ramp from Front Street to northbound I-95 and the ramp from southbound I-95 to Front Street will be closed and detoured again beginning Monday morning, May 11, through Thursday, May 21, to allow crews to complete the ramp improvements.
During the 24/7 closure, Front Street motorists will be directed to use Oregon Avenue and turn left onto Columbus Boulevard to access the ramp to northbound I-95…
