Philadelphia, PA on June 14th, SEPTA Route 52 is undergoing the first major change to the system ahead of the New Bus Network that is to debut starting Fall 2026.
As part of this change, the routing through Overbrook on northbound trips is being discontinued, and all trips that originally terminated at 54th Street and City Avenue, is to be extended, and will now operate via City Avenue to Wissahickon Transit Center.
SEPTA’s route 52, numbered for its service via 52nd Street, operates from 49th Street and Woodland Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia, via 52nd Street, to Jefferson Street. From here the 52 either to 50th and Parkside Loop in West Philadelphia or continues via 54th Street to City Avenue, with some service continuing beyond 54th and City to Gladwyne…
