AVONDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — One teenager is hospitalized and another is in custody after an early morning shooting in the West Valley.
Just before 1 a.m., Avondale police officers responded to reports of a shooting at a home on 115th Drive, near Broadway Road and Avondale Boulevard. There, police found a wounded 14-year-old boy and provided first aid until paramedics arrived.
The teen was rushed to a hospital, where police say he’s in stable condition and expected to survive.
Officers have since taken a 15-year-old, described as an acquaintance of the victim, into custody. The teen was booked into the Durango Juvenile Facility…
