An 82-year-old Peoria man identified only as Joseph went missing on his way to a doctor’s appointment on Monday, and within three hours, police say the city’s network of automated license plate readers helped bring him home safe. Officers said he was found near Peoria with his vehicle nearly out of fuel, after cameras tracked his car through Paradise Valley and Sun City.
Joseph was reported missing on Monday after he failed to make it to his appointment, according to 12News. Police entered his license plate into the Flock system, which tracked his vehicle across multiple cities before locating him.
