PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Drivers could see delays on Phoenix-area freeways this weekend as the Arizona Department of Transportation continues improvement projects across the region.
Closures or lane restrictions are scheduled Oct. 23-26, according to ADOT. Drivers should allow extra travel time and use detour routes as needed:
State Route 51:
Northbound SR 51 will be closed between Glendale Avenue and Shea Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project. Northbound on-ramps from Indian School Road to Northern Avenue will also be closed…
