2 Laveen high school students win cash prizes in art exhibit

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – High honors for a couple of Phoenix students whose winning artwork even won them some money, and that’s Something Good!. The Shemer Art Center’s New Horizons exhibit features the work of emerging artists from more than 40 high schools across the valley, and we want to send out a big congratulations to Mariah Munoz of Cesar Chavez High School. She won three awards totaling $200!!! Alexander Ewell, also a student at Cesar Chavez, won two awards totaling $150, including the overall student choice award!
