Check those tickets! $200K in lottery wins sold across Arizona this week

Three winning lottery tickets collectively worth $200,000 were sold across the state this week, according to Arizona Lottery officials.

The week’s biggest win was a Powerball ticket worth $150,000, which was purchased on Wednesday at a Chandler Safeway at 4970 S. Alma School Road. It matched four of the five lucky numbers and the red Powerball. The winning numbers were 12, 21, 62, 67, 69. The red Powerball was 17, and the Power Play was 3X.

The ticket was initially worth $50,000, but it increased to $150,000 because of the 3X Power Play. The Power Play feature, which is randomly chosen before each Powerball drawing, multiplies non-jackpot prizes by either two, three, four, or five.

In addition, another Safeway located off Highway 95 in Fort Mohave at 4823 S. Highway 95 sold two winning Mega Millions tickets this week, earning one player $10,000 and another player $40,000 on Tuesday. The winning numbers were 2, 10, 31, 44, 57, with a gold Mega Ball of 10 and a Megaplier of 4X.

Both players’ combinations, which matched four of the five numbers and the gold Mega Ball, were initially good for $10,000. However, one added the Megaplier to their ticket, which multiplied their winnings by four to $40,000.
