PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – A medical emergency ended with a hiker being rescued from a popular Phoenix hiking trail on Friday afternoon. Emergency crews were called to Piestewa Peak around 2 p.m. According to Phoenix firefighters, the man suffered a medical emergency towards the end of his hike. He was only 50 feet from the bottom when he had to be rescued. The hiker was then rushed to the hospital in serious condition.
