In-N-Out : 2 New Arizona Restaurants Coming

In 1948, Harry Snyder opened the first In-N-Out Hamburger location. It was more of a stand than a restaurant, occupying a 100 sq ft. space in Baldwin Park, California. His wife, Esther, managed the books from their home around the corner. The company has since grown to over 400 locations in 8 states.

There are currently 34 In-N-Out restaurants across Arizona. According to the company website, there are two more in the works. Although there is no indication of grand opening dates, the locations have been announced:

  • 25360 N Lake Pleasant Parkway, Peoria
  • 4901 Power Road, Mesa

Throughout the years, the company has remained a family business. In 1976, founder Harry Snyder passed away, and his sons Rich and Guy took over as President and Vice President, respectively. Rich Snyder passed away in 1993, Guy in 1999. Harry’s granddaughter, Lynsi Snyder, now runs the company. Esther outlived her husband and two sons, passing away in 2006 at the age of 86.

In 2023 In-N-Out celebrated 75 years in business.
