A longtime member of the famous family band Jackson 5 passed away on Sunday.

Tito Jackson, brother to Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, passed away after suffering an apparent heart attack during a drive from New Mexico to Oklahoma, multiple media outlets confirmed. He was 70 years old.

His sons, Taj, Taryll and TJ, confirmed his passing via an Instagram post late Sunday.

“Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us,” they wrote. “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’ We love you Pops.”

Toriano Adaryll “Tito” Jackson was a co-founding singer and guitarist of the famous family band Jackson 5.

He helped found the group in 1964 in Gary, Indiana. The band, which was originally called the Jackson Brothers, consisted of Tito and brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael.
