Kamala Harris changes day of her Phoenix campaign rally. Here’s the latest

Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a rally in Phoenix on Thursday evening, a day after mail ballots go out across battleground Arizona.

Harris plans to use her rally to encourage Arizonans to vote early, her campaign said. It’s her second visit to the state in the past two weeks.

Every vote counts in Arizona, the state that had the closest margin of any state in the 2020 presidential election.

Polls show that the race is shaping up to be razor-thin again this year.

Harris and former President Donald Trump are locked in a margin-of-error battle for the White House in this battleground state.

Harris is returning to Arizona for the second time in two weeks after taking a campaign trip to the border city of Douglas in late September to tour the Arizona-Mexico border and deliver a border security speech.

The Harris campaign offered few details about the rally’s time and location on Thursday. The vice president’s campaign had initially said her visit would be on Friday, but shifted it a day earlier.
