Taco Bell enjoyers will be able to take a trip down memory lane this fall after the popular American fast-food chain announced the return of several fan favorites from across the decades.
Dubbed the Decades Menu, the set of items ranges from the 1960s Tostada to the 2000s Caramel Apple Empanada — there’s one item from each decade since the chain ‘s inception in 1962, the chain announced in a press release on its website.
Fanatics won’t have long to wait before the nostalgic items return to the menu — each of the foods from the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s is slated to return by Oct. 31, while the 2000s Caramel Apple Empanada will hit stores on Nov. 21. All of the items will be available for under $3, too.

But what are the items? And why is the popular fast-food chain bringing them back? In short, the answer deals with promotion as the brand attempts to draw back customers it may have lost over the decades, but it’s also to change things up and keep returning customers on their toes.
