Minimum age for using electric scooters lowered to 16 in Phoenix

PHOENIX – The minimum age for utilizing electric scooters and bikes will be lowered to allow more teenagers to use them in the City of Phoenix. On Wednesday, the Phoenix City Council voted 8-1 to lower the city’s age requirement from 18 to 16 for operating e-scooters on public streets to align with Arizona’s driving age.
