PHOENIX – The new year is bringing warmer temps to the Valley. As high pressure strengthens to the south, the temperature will climb to the upper 70s on Thursday and Friday. Thursday is forecast to reach 77 degrees, several degrees shy of the record high of 81. By Friday, the record of 79 is forecast to be tied. It will be dry and sunny on Thursday with just a few passing clouds on Friday.
