PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — It’s not uncommon for things to get ugly when two people divorce. But that’s not the case for Cindy and Roger. Even though the two split up years ago, they remained good friends, and Roger credits Cindy for saving his life several years ago.
He had a stroke in 2017. At the time, he was living in a Salvation Army shelter and was unable to return when he got out of the hospital. He asked Cindy and her new husband if he could sleep on her floor for a couple of weeks while his body healed. He ended up staying with them for four years.
“Living with her, it was a different experience than when we were married,” Roger told Arizona’s Family Colton Shone. “When we were married, I was in another world and another part of my life and I screwed all that up but I just thank God that it got restored.”…
