PHOENIX (AZFamily) — More headaches for drivers in north Phoenix on Wednesday as a major freeway was partially closed due to a car fire during rush hour.
The southbound lanes of state Route 51 were closed between Cactus Road and Shea Boulevard after two vehicles collided around 4 p.m., the Arizona Department of Public Safety said. One of the cars then went up in flames.
Officials said two people were taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries isn’t known…
