Unusually rainy June trend continues with overnight showers across Valley

PHOENIX – Parts of the Valley woke up to wet roadways Wednesday after storms developed overnight, continuing an unusually rainy trend for June.

The early-morning system produced widespread showers, including 0.14 inches at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which the National Weather Service (NWS) uses for the city’s official readings.

That was just short of the record for June 4 of 0.16 inches from 1932…
