Popular Phoenix dive bar is sold after 30 years in uptown

The Swizzle Inn has been a staple in uptown since opening in 1996. Thanks to a new ownership group, this beloved, divey neighborhood bar will continue pouring drinks and serving holiday beach vibes.

POV Foods, the hospitality team behind staples such as Old Town’s Rusty Spur Saloon and Phoenix’s twee drive-thru and restaurant 32Shea, officially purchased the Swizz on May 19. The restaurant group announced the sale on Tuesday.

“The Swizzle Inn is the neighborhood’s living room,” POV Foods owner Bill Toole said in a press release. “It’s a place people come to unwind, share a story, shoot some pool. We’re not here to change that, we’re here to honor it and keep the doors open for the next generation of regulars.”…
