Police were called to perform a welfare check on the child’s mother and found the infant next to the mother’s lifeless body. The Phoenix Police Department released the body camera footage from the baby’s rescue, and officers can be seen looking through an open window. “Officers responded to a welfare check after neighbors hadn’t seen or heard from a mother and her newborn for several days,” the post explained.
