GOODYEAR, AZ (AZFamily) — Firefighters from multiple West Valley agencies are on the scene of a recovery operation after a worker became trapped at a construction site Monday afternoon.
Rescue crews were called to a construction site at 183rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road in Goodyear shortly after 1 p.m.
Goodyear police tell Arizona’s Family that several construction workers were trying to rescue a fellow employee who became trapped about six feet underground, but as rescuers tried to dig out dirt, more dirt collapsed in, forcing crews to pivot to a recovery effort…
