PHOENIX – Scam texts have taken a multimedia approach to make the unsuspecting think they owe money to the Arizona Department of Transportation, state officials said.
Some scammers are adding an ADOT Motor Vehicle Division logo to the fraud that claims the recipient has upaid traffic citations and faces nonpayment penalties, according to an ADOT release.
