When most people think of Arizona, the first thing that comes to mind probably isn’t seafood. And yet, despite being in a landlocked state, with the closest ocean hours away, a seafood restaurant in Arizona has earned a shoutout from Yelp as one of the top 20 oyster houses in the United States and Canada.
Buck & Rider’s original Phoenix location came in at No. 16 on the list for the freshness of its seafood, which is flown in to the restaurant daily. The restaurant was one of only three restaurants on the list not in a coastal area.
Buck & Rider opened in 2015 in Arcadia and has since expanded to Gilbert and Scottsdale. It is owned by restaurant group Hi Noon Hospitality, which also runs Ingo’s Tasty Food and Pinyon, a Mediterranean restaurant.
