Augustin Nava-Nunez will serve a decade in prison, while his son Agustin Nava Jr. is facing two years behind bars with an extra two years of supervised probation. According to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Nava-Nunez pleaded guilty to a charge involving the sale of narcotics, specifically fentanyl, and had a prior felony conviction.
Nava-Nunez’s son met a slightly more lenient fate, sentenced for his part in the illegal enterprise, after both were caught in a long-term investigation that kicked off in mid-2024. “My office has been directed to aggressively investigate and prosecute those who are part of the network of fentanyl dealers infiltrating our communities,” stated Attorney General Mayes.
