2 hikers rescued by helicopter from South Mountain after overheating

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two people were taken to the hospital after being rescued off South Mountain when they became overheated Tuesday night.

Phoenix and Tempe firefighters responded to South Mountain around 8 p.m. after two male hikers reported they were overheated, got lost and could not continue their descent down the mountain.
