Phoenix Police Nab Suspect Accused of Identity Theft Since 2019

In July, Phoenix police arrested Raymond Hernandez on identity theft charges dating back to 2019. According to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Hernandez used his brother’s identity to circumvent a suspended driver’s license. The case was detected by an ADOT detective who launched an investigation.

The detective compared photos on the suspended license with a replacement credential issued under the victim’s name, identifying both as Hernandez. The investigation also revealed three additional misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.
