Phoenix Police are investigating a homicide where a man was found dead near a canal.
Officers responded on Sept. 22 at about 11:45 a.m. to an area by the canal near 36th Street and Portland Street, according to a department release. Officers arrived on the scene and found the man deceased, in the beginning stages of decomposition and with signs of trauma.
Detectives collected evidence and talked to residents in the area. The man has not been identified…
