Violence has again marred the streets of Phoenix, with separate shooting incidents leaving multiple victims in their wake. On the afternoon of Sept. 25, near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road, two men were injured in a shooting, both sustaining gunshot wounds. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, Phoenix Police Sgt. Rob Scherer reported, “When officers arrived, they located two adult males with at least one gunshot wound each. The men were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.” As the police investigation continues, details such as the circumstances that led up to this violent encounter remain undisclosed, with no names released pertaining to the victims.
In an unrelated incident during the early hours of the same day, a fatal shooting claimed the life of a man near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road. Responding officers found the victim already deceased from a gunshot wound. The identity of the slain man has yet to be revealed by authorities, as the area was cordoned off for an active investigation.
