Driver Wounded in Suspected Road-Rage Shooting on I-10 Near Phoenix; DPS Investigates

A possible road-rage shooting on Interstate 10 near 43rd Avenue in Phoenix has been under investigation since Wednesday morning, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), the incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. when the driver of a vehicle was shot in the leg while traveling in the westbound lanes; this unfortunate event temporarily blocked several lanes of traffic, although the impact on eastbound traffic was negligible.

“The driver of the victim vehicle remained on scene,” DPS indicated. The response from troopers included providing medical assistance to the injured driver, who was transported to a hospital; however, according to a report by ABC15, the individual’s current condition remains unclear at this time. The incident unfolded under the Arizona sun, whose harsh light did nothing to pierce the mystery of another driver’s rage turning dangerously violent.
