PHOENIX — More than 850,000 people in Arizona received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits in August 2025. In 2024, more than 900,000 Arizonans relied on SNAP benefits.
But in November, Arizonans who rely on these benefits will not receive them unless the federal government, which is currently shut down, releases funding for the program.
