The sudden death of Tomas Moreno was upsetting enough for his girlfriend, but the suspected cause she said Glendale police initially gave her was even more bewildering.
Natalia Jimenez, 34, said she spent multiple days trying to find Moreno before discovering the remains of the father of three on Oct. 19 in a vehicle at a busy parking lot in the area of 51st and Peoria avenues in Glendale.
Police at the scene ruled out foul play in the 32-year-old Phoenix resident’s death, telling those gathered that he and the man he was found with likely died of an overdose, Jimenez told The Arizona Republic…
