PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The ridge of high pressure responsible for the quiet, warm weather pattern is about to change, and First Alert Weather Days have been declared for big changes on Friday and Saturday.
A cold front will approach Arizona from the west, bringing strong winds as well as a chance of rain and snow across the state. That cold front will also mean a temperature drop of about 20 degrees.
For the Valley, the rain chances on Friday are running at about 50%. We are not expecting huge rainfall amounts, perhaps one-quarter of an inch or less at this point…
