List shows more than 100 jobs getting cut from Phoenix Union district

PHOENIX — A tentative list released by the Phoenix Union High School District shows which jobs may be cut in the next school year to account for declining enrollment.

The district’s governing board will hold a meeting on Dec. 4 and review a list of job positions to eliminate due to budget constraints. The list includes administrative, certified and classified positions throughout the district.

Among the 164 jobs on the cut list, the positions include assistant principals, bookstore assistants, literary coach, director of professional development, computer lab assistants, campus testing coordinators, media technicians, custodians and office assistants…
