Volunteer attacked while providing food to homeless in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) β€” Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was hurt while handing out food in the West Valley early Wednesday afternoon.

Glendale police were called to the area of 58th Drive and Palmaire Avenue, near Grand and Glendale avenues, around 1 p.m.

Investigators say a group was offering free food to some unhoused residents when one of them got upset β€œfor an unknown reason.” The man reportedly pulled out a knife and swiped at one of the volunteers, cutting the woman on her hand…
