Man arrested in connection with 40+ Home Depot thefts across metro Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Phoenix man linked to dozens of thefts at Home Depot locations across the Valley has been arrested, according to newly obtained court documents.

Court records showed Chance Mason, 30, was identified as the suspect in a series of organized retail theft crimes that took place between December 2025 and January 2026.

In the alleged thefts, Mason stole power tool sets and bypassed the self-checkout register as he ran out of the stores.

On Wednesday afternoon, Mason allegedly attempted another theft at a Home Depot location near Tatum Boulevard and Bell Road in north Phoenix. Store staff reportedly told investigators that they saw Mason take merchandise from the store and leave without paying…
