Jailed Zipps worker claims he’s being ‘scapgoated’ by management

Zipps Sports Grill management knew the restaurant regularly hired undocumented immigrants, but they haven’t faced the same consequences as the kitchen manager facing possible prison, his lawyer argued in federal court in Phoenix.

Rachel Gendreau, the defense attorney for Diego Gonzalez-Rosales, argued Feb. 3 that he should be allowed free on bond as he awaits trial on the fraudulent-documents charges filed against him. She noted he has established roots in the Valley over his 20 years in this country.
